GMU Holds the Young Teachers’ Teaching Contest in 2018

    On December 9th, the final of the 2018 Young Teachers' Teaching Contest was held in Huangjin Campus of GMU. Seven professors, including Wang Conghua from Gannan Normal University, were invited to serve as expert judges. Division of Academic Affairs, Higher Education Research Office, Teacher Development Center, GMU Labor Union and teachers and students representatives attended it.

    Nine contestants from 7 teaching units, including School of Basic Medicine Sciences (SBMS), School of the First Clinical Medicine Sciences (SFCMS), School of Pharmacy (SP), School of Nursing (SN), School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), School of Rehabilitation (SR) and School of Information Engineering (SIE), participated in the competition. Each contestant was required to conduct a 20-minute on-site teaching.
    After the on-site teaching, Professor Wang Conghua, the leader of the judges group, commented on the teaching of the nine contestants one by one from seven aspects, namely, teaching link, blackboard design, teaching language, teaching methods, teaching contents, the application of multimedia technology and the integration of curriculum and politics. The strengths and weaknesses of the contestants were pointed out accurately.
    It is reported that the final of the 2018 Young Teachers' Teaching Contest of GMU includes three links, namely, teaching plan eva luation, in-class teaching and on-site teaching. The results are calculated at 20%, 30% and 50% respectively.
