The vicissitudes of life have changed dramatically for 40 years, and a new chapter has been compiled. On the evening of December 29, a chorus evening celebrating the 40th anniversary of the reform and opening-up was held here in the multi-functional hall of the Huangjin Campus with brilliant lights and loud singing. 14 schools' staff gathered together to praise the brilliant achievements for 40 years of reform and opening up, singing out the ambition of a new era. GMU leaders Li Gongjin, Liu Qian, Liu Min, Chen Liang, Huang Ruizhong, Ye Junming and Xiao Shuhui attended the party.

The evening invited Yin Wenhua, a member of the Chinese Musicians Association, a composer at the national level, and the composer of the Gannan Tea Opera House, to act as one of judges.

The students’ chorus of School of Basic Medicine Science chanted "Love of the Apricot Forest" to praise the simple and sincere feelings of the doctors, opening the prelude of the evening party.

With high spiritual outlook, uniform performance line-up, strong and brilliant singing, retired veteran comrades deduced the "We Walk along this Road" and "Glory and Dream", winning the warm applause of the audience.

“I Love You China” from the First Affiliated Hospital of GMU (FAHGMU), “Tianlu” from the Second Affiliated Hospital of GMU (SAHGMU), “Unity Is Power” from School of Basic Medicine Science, “No New China without the Communist Party of China” from School of Information Engineering came on stage one by one passionately, euphemistically or affectionately. These familiar melodies from the 40-year history of reform and opening-up evoked people's deep memories of the glorious years.

The "Zanzan Xin Shidai" from the School of Nursing gave a display to the most real feeling of people's ups and downs when they entered the new era. The Communist Party of China (CPC) marched forward on a new journey for 97 years and never forgot why she did it.

"Young Friends to Meet" from the Library, "Building a Chinese Dream Together" from School of Pharmacy, "Love China" from School of Rehabilitation, "I Swear" from School of Marxist, "Towards Renaissance" from the Third Affiliated Hospital of GMU, "Red Star Song" from the Logistics Service Group, "Flag Flying in the Wind" from School of Humanities and Social Sciences gave a fine display to various perspectives.

At the end of the evening, all GMU leaders came to the stage and sang "We Walk on the Road" together with the staff. High and loud music, enthusiastic singing, led by the leadership of the whole school, the audience can not help clapping with the beat, music and applause intertwined. And off-stage performers, teachers and students stood up together, singing the passionate "Singing the motherland" in chorus, pushing the performance to a climax.
