Division of Students’ Affairs Held the New Year Gala in Huangjin Campus

     On the evening of December 26, Division of Students’ Affairs held the New Year Gala in the Academic Hall of Huangjin Campus, commending the advanced collectives and individuals in the Study Style Construction of 2012-2013 academic year. The assistant to GMU President Li Hanting, the directors from the Propaganda Department, Division of Students’ Affairs, Youth League Committee and Division of Academic Affairs attended the gala and awarded the prizes. Various advanced collectives, individuals and more than 400 students watched the gala.


     Starting with the energetic song from the “Teller Band”, the gala proceeded to the prize-giving link, during which the present leaders awarded the certificates to the advanced collectives, Merit Students, scholarship winners, the advanced collectives and individuals of Study Style Construction and the 8th Dormitory Culture Festival in the 2012-2013 academic year. The Academic Hall enjoyed peaks of applause.

The dynamic “Jazz Dance” pushed the gala to the climax. The affectionate poetry readings “Song of Youth” intoxicated the audience. The drama “I Believe I can Fly” presented the various difficulties of freshmen. The two-woman act “Dormitory Culture Festival” showed the college students’ interest in the dormitory civilization activities.



      At length, the song “TouGuoXianghua Kai Man de Yueliang ” or “See the Moon from the Seams of Blossoming Flowers(the moon shines the blossoming flowers)” sung by Li Hanting presented the first gift of the New Year. The gala approached the end in the happy and peaceful atmosphere.


       During the gala, 27 advanced collectives, 704 Merit Students, 1845 campus scholarship winners, 97 scientific activity winners, 17 advanced collectives and 116 advanced individuals of Study Style Construction, and 11 items of the 8th Dormitory Culture Festival were commended.
