Nanchang Branch of GMU Alumni Association is Officially Founded

    On April 21, the founding meeting of Nanchang Branch of Gannan Medical University Alumni Association was held in Nanchang.
 

    GMU Vice-President Zhang Xiaokang attended it and delivered a speech. Many other GMU Alumni Association Presidents came to the locale for congratulations. Li Yangguang presided over the conference and more than 170 alumni gathered together to celebrate the establishment of the Nanchang Alumni Branch.
 

    The celebration ceremony opened with the Grand National anthem. Luo Xianping, the president of Nanchang Alumni Association, first delivered a welcoming speech and said that he should strictly abide by the Constitution of the Alumni Association, perform his duties and accomplish the "Four Essentials". Namely, continue to disseminate and carry forward the spirit of the GMU Motto, make extensive contacts and cohesion with the Alumni, strengthen the contacts among the Alumni, and intensify the feelings among the Alumni. Strengthen service and strive to build the Alumni Association into an "alumni home". Focus on the overall situation and give full play to the role of alumni associations in the development of alma mater. Actively bridge the communication and contacts between alma mater and alumni, and promote all-round, deep-seated and substantive exchanges and cooperation.
 

    Zhang Xiaokang, on behalf of the school, warmly congratulated the founding of the Nanchang Alumni Association, expressed heartfelt thanks to the alumni for their concern and support for the alma mater over the years, and briefly introduced the GMU's development process and the direction of running schools in the new era. He hoped that the Nanchang Alumni Association will adhere to the correct orientation, rule by law, standardize management, adhere to service first and make more contributions. Certificates were issued to the president and Vice-President of the branch of Nanchang Alumni Association.
 

    On behalf of alma mater, Chen Lianjiao read out the appointment document of the organizational structure of Nanchang Branch of the Alumni Association of GMU. Zeng Wei made a report on the preparatory work of Nanchang Branch of GMU Alumni Association. Li Qunhui and Li Houyi congratulated Nanchang Alumni Association on behalf of Beijing and Shanghai Alumni Association respectively. Kong Puxian spoke on behalf of the alumni of Nanchang and briefly reviewed the past events of the Alumni Association in Changchang.
 

    Zhou Donggen congratulated Nanchang Alumni Branch of GMU on its founding on behalf of the Provincial Vocational College of Health, and recalled the past of his study in the school. He hoped that cooperation and exchanges between the two schools will be further strengthened. Tu Ying, a 97-year-old alumnus, presided over an academic speech, and all the delegates took a group photo as a souvenir.
