Dr. Jonathan Leo from LMU Pays a Visit to GMU

On December 2, Dr. Jonathan Leo, Vice-President of DCOM School of Medicine Sciences of Lincoln Memorial University (LMU), and his wife Mrs. Susan Leo, visited GMU.

In the morning, Dr. Jonathan Leo made a demonstration teaching of facial nerve for teachers and students, and exchanged the differences between Chinese and American medical education, the future development of medical education, and the comparison of teaching methods.

In the afternoon, Dr. Jonathan Leo went to the Huangjin Branch of the First Affiliated Hospital of GMU (FAHGMU) to learn about the study and life of the medical doctoral interns from the DCOM Medical School of LMU.

During the visit, Li Gongjin, Secretary of the GMU Party Committee, and GMU President Liu Qian respectively met with Dr. Jonathan Leo and the 10 interns. Li Gongjin reviewed the cooperation and exchange between the two universities, affirmed the fruitful results of friendly cooperation, and he hoped to continue to deepen and expand the field of cooperation and exchange, and strive to bear more fruits of friendly cooperation. At the same time, he encouraged young medical students to study hard, live happily, and become the friendly ambassadors of Sino-US people-to-people and cultural cooperation and exchange.

Liu Qian had a detailed understanding of the learning and living conditions of 10 medical doctoral interns, and pointed out that it was of great significance for the internationalization of higher education to do a good job in the exchange of medical students between the two universities. Both parties were requested to constantly summarize the experience and achievements so as to contribute to the cultivation of moral and technical talents and the people satisfied medical university.
