GMU Students Win Achievements in the East China Division of the NCSCSC

      The East China Division of the 5th National College Student Clinical Skill Contest (NCSCSC) has approached the end. Batch 2009 students Wang Lin, Wang Yu, Bing Yajuan and Liao Qicheng, majoring in the MBBS, won the 2nd Group Award and entered the national Finals. Meanwhile, Wang Lin and Wang Yu respectively won the Individual Awards, namely, Fetal Monitoring and Putting on Isolation Gown, making breakthrough in the Individual Award of NCSCSC.


       Hosted by the Medical Education Clinical Teaching Research Center of the Ministry of Education of China and held by Tonji University (TJU), the East China Division of the NCSCSC was held in the South Campus of TJU from April 12 to 13. Except TJU, 132 contestants from 33 medical universities participated in the East China Division of the NCSCSC. The preliminary contest, the semi-final and the final closely integrated the clinical practice, including the multi-discipline in terms of internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, ENT, dermatology, nursing, which aimed at testing the capacities such as professional knowledge, clinical skills, team work, doctor-patient communication, humanistic care etc. 


      This contest boasted 1 Grand Prize, 3 First Awards, 7 Second Awards and 22 Individual Awards.


      On behalf of the East China Divisionof the NCSCSC, 4 GMU contestants, together with the rest 10 teams, will participate in the national finals held in Sun Yat-Sen University.
