Doctor Walter Luyten is Invited as Visiting Professor to GMU

        On the morning of April 3, Doctor Walter Luyten from the University of Leuven in Belgium paid a visit to GMU. President of GMU, Han Limin, had a talk to doctor Walter Luyten in Huangjin Campus, introduced GMU in terms of the history and majors and invited him to be GMU’s visiting professor. And Doctor Walter Luyten had the pleasure to accept the Visiting Professor Certificate.

         Accompanied by Vice President Liu Qian, Doctor Walter Luyten paid a visit to the GMU History Museum, School of Pharmacy Labs, Lab P2, Experimental Animal Center of Medical Sciences and Huangjin Campus.




         Doctor Walter Luyten, born in 1956 and Belsize City of Belguim, obtained Master Degree in Computer Science, a Doctoral Degree in Clinical Medical Sciences and a Doctoral Degree in Neuroscience. He was a molecular biologist, majoring in Receptor pharmacology and Peptidomics, and had worked in the headquarter of Janssen Pharmaceutical Ltd for 11 years and also worked as the director and Chief Scientist of Janssen Functional Genomics Research & Development Department, taking responsibilities for preclinical biological technology. Currently, Doctor Walter Luyten works as the Chief Scientist and consultant of 2 biological companies, as part-time professor of the School of Medical Sciences of the Universityof Leuvenand has published 95 works.
