GMU Students Won the Third Prize in the Jiangxi Division of National College Students’ Electronic Design Contest

      Recently, GMU students such as Zhu Shanghong, Wu Yang and Yu Hui etc, majoring in Medical Equipment Manufacturing and Maintenance of School of Information Engineering, won the Third Prize in the Jiangxi Division of National College Students’ Electronic Design Contest in 2013.
      Electronic Design was one of the four disciplines for which contests were initiated by the Ministry of Education to involve Students from the National Colleges. The discipline features great level of difficulty and broad scope of knowledge. Since August, GMU organized students to participate in the National College Students’ Electronic Design Contest in 2013. Before participation, GMU had put great emphasis on the contest, had made a fine plan and a complete organization and had arranged for intensified training for the contestants for one month. “Autonomous Air Vehicle with Four Rotor Wings” made by the contestant team ranked the third of the same team and won the third prize in the Jiangxi Division.
     It is reported that 36 universities, including 145 teams, participated in this contest. It is the first time for GMU students to win such a remarkable accomplishment among numerous strong technology universities.
