In order to improve the ability of security guards to deal with emergencies, the School Security Department recently organized emergency rescue training for all security guards in Zhanggong and Huangjin Campuses of GMU.

As a security guard who is in close contact with teachers and students, the probability of encountering an emergency is much higher than that of the teachers and students. The security guards should be trained in emergency training so that they can grasp the simple and effective treatment methods for sudden diseases and save the time for rescuing the patients. The first-aid training not only improves the actual operation skills and rescue ability of the security guard, but also greatly enhances the security guard's sense of responsibility, the sense of security of teachers and students, and maintains campus safety and stability.
Combined with real cases, teachers in the clinical skills laboratory of the School of the First Clinical Medicine of GMU explained the importance and steps of first aid in cardiopulmonary resuscitation in vivid and interesting language and conducted on-site demonstrations from six steps of "judge the consciousness, call for help, place the patient, press the chest, open the airway and artificial respiration". Each security guard performed simulation exercises.

The security guards said that they have benefited a lot from the training and mastered the basic knowledge of emergency rescue not only for their work, but also for their families and friends.
